Appalachian Power Baseball Park

This construction management project was acquired through a competitive selection process. This 4,200 seat facility features a recessed playing field, 14 luxury seating boxes, a tiered picnic area, and a large public plaza.

The City of Charleston faced budget issues from the concept-development phase of this project. BBLCarlton, working with the City of Charleston and HNTB, developed several value-engineered alternatives in an effort to bring the project back into the City’s budget.

This project faced extreme budget, weather, and schedule problems from day one; however, BBLCarlton and our subcontractors completed this sports facility for the opening day pitch.
