WV Department of Environmental Protection

This three-story, office building serves over 550 State employees. This project was awarded to BBL Carlton through a competitive design- uild process.

The facility was designed to be LEED compliant. LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design), is a federal organization that evaluates buildings for their energy consumption and environmental impact. These “green” buildings are awarded points for their energy saving systems and environmentally-friendly materials. The State of WV is applying for a “Silver” certification from LEED. A silver certification will be the first one in WV.
