
BBL removed portions of the existing structure to construct the new Maintenance Office and Visitor’s Center for the Dow Chemical Corporation.
BBL, working with the architect and owner, was able to remove a consideral dollar amount from the bid through value engineering services.
A significant challenge, BBL had to maintain construction activities as Dow employees utilized the existing structure. The extensive renovation required removal of floors, walls, and roof structure. The building features a high-tech conference room containing state-of-the-art video and internet conferencing systems. A separate guard house was constructed to direct visitors to the new facility.
